On July 25th, 2024 the research team of the Cyprus Interaction Lab implemented an AR-driven activity with pre-school students. The children, through the short fairytale came into contact with letters and sounds, fabrics, clothes, and letters. Using AR as the final activity, children see the key character of the fairytale appearings as a 3D model in AR in their classroom. He invites the children to help him pick up the pieces of clothes he needs to complete his happy summer holidays. The activity was developed using Mirage XR application for Augmented Reality (AR). Children expressed great enthusiasm in seeing the story character“coming into life” in their class and interacting with AR elements to help him complete his mission.
