In our Lionfish project, we develop and test our learning material built around a 360VR film and STEAM activities. The first pilot implementation was successfully completed.

DRFLEM Project LTTA Limassol, November 2023

The DRFLEMP learning, training, and teaching activity was completed successfully. The event aimed to train language and healthcare instructors on the use of the DRFLEMP application for practicing language for medical purposes.

New E+ project: Lionfish

Our new project Lionfish [2023 – 2024, KA210-SCH-2023-004] is a small-scale partnership in school education, bringing together experts in documentaries from Fox Media Documentaries Fox Media Film (https://www.foxmediadocumentaries.com/) and learning scientists from EdMedia@CYENS Centre of Excellence in collaboration with local environmental centers and schools, aiming to engage pupils into playing an active role in reacting to climate change.

FemPower Summer School 2023

The FemPower Summer School took place from August 28th to September 1st, 2023, in Thessaloniki. The FSS involved educators and students from all partner countries and was one of the core activities of the project. During the SS students participated actively throughout the process with their knowledge, experiences, and skills.

“POST-DOCTORAL” Programme – Funding Opportunity

The Coordinator of the Internal Programme (Project Coordinator) must be a Post-doctoral Researcher. Each Research Proposal must have only one Coordinator and the Post-doctoral Researcher may submit and participate in only one Research Proposal. Upon approval of the Proposal, the Post-doctoral researcher must necessarily be physically present at CUT.

Constructions with Micro:bit technology and electronic fabrics

June 29-30 and July 3-4, the EdMedia CYENS Centre of Excellence (extension of the Cyprus Interaction Lab of the Cyprus University of Technology), in collaboration with the UCL Knowledge Lab, organized and delivered an innovative workshop for children entitled: “Constructions with Micro:bit technology and electronic fabrics”.

The FemPower Summer School is coming!

The FemPower project announces the FemPower Summer School that will take place in August in Thessaloniki, Greece! The summer school will have a duration of five days and aims to: -> Raise awareness regarding the current situation within the project partner countries with respect to the CET in terms of implementation and gender equality -> Improve the awareness of the participants regarding the gender dimension in the field of Energy, with a focus on the CET -> Provide the participants with tools and skills to work in CET careers through STEAM gender inclusive practices  -> Test and evaluate the methodologies created in PR6  -> Prepare the female students for their professional pathways in the field of CET, through the introduction and promotion of the Fem to FemPower network. FemPower: 1st In-Person Meeting

The research project started in February 2022 and proceeded via regular teleconferencing meetings. Due to pandemic restrictions and other administrative difficulties, the partners met in person for the first time on the 1st of December 2022, in an intense, but also enthusiastic and fruitful, two-day meeting, that took place at the Polytechnic School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece). During the meeting, each workgroup presented and reviewed the progress made so far, critical issues were addressed, and above all, the consortium aligned once more to work jointly for the same goals. ENTER EdTech Closing Event – Cyprus LIH

On Thursday, 26th of January, the CYENS Centre of Excellence, GrantXpert Consulting, and Cyprus University of Technology hosted the closing event of the ENTER EdTech project. The event involved a pitching experience for six EdTech start-ups, who competed for one of the following remarkable and valuable prizes

ENTER EdTech 2nd face-to-face meeting has been successfully completed in Athens on the 21st of November! The partners developed fruitful discussions reflecting on the completed tasks, revised ongoing work, and agreed on an action plan for accomplishing the next steps.

Assessmake21 Final Conference and Dissemination Event , Oct13th, 2022

The Assessmake21 coordinator, Learnovate Centre based in Dublin, organized the Final Multiplier Event of the project on Oct13th, 2022 (virtual event). This end of project event was aimed at educators, facilitators of makerspaces and those interested in the development of 21st C Skills through making activities. We provided an introduction about the project, who was involved, and what we achieved in the context of developing and piloting a digital tool to assess the development of 21st C Skills. The Cyprus Interaction Lab research team, presented key findings from the Cypriot pilots. Also, two teachers from Cyprus presented their views on how the Assessmake21 tool helped them, and their students, raise awareness of their 21st-century skills during making activities. Other partners and teachers from pilots in Ireland, Finland, and Greece, shared their experiences and perspectives too.
