On July 11th 2024, the research team of the Cyprus Interaction Lab introduced to 20 Chinese higher education students, the scenario “At the coffee shop” developed using Mirage XR application for Augmented Reality (AR). Students were undertaking Greek language lessons at the Cyprus University of Technology as part of the Confucius Summer Camp. In the AR scenario, students visited a new traditional coffee shop in the city centre of Limassol and performed a role-play activity using the AR interactive elements.
They evaluated their overall experience with the technology positively, especially its auditory and interactive elements.
